How do I place an order?

What should I include in my inquiry and what can I expect?

1. Include in your order inquiry: pickup date, how many people you are looking to serve, or size of cake from the menu, and if you have a cake vision in mind (attach photos if you have any). This cake is tailored to you!

2. A flavour list is given and we will finalize details such as design and flavour.

3. A final quote will be provided and for orders under $200, the full amount is required to confirm your order and hold the date.

4. Reel in the excitement of your upcoming order.

6. It's cake day! Hooray, you get to have your cake & eat it too!

 

When should I place my order?

Please place your order 2-5 weeks in advance as only a limited amount of orders are accepted per week. Booking window for dates is stated in the order form. However, this does not guarantee a date is available.

You can book as early as 8 weeks in advance, or earlier for milestone orders such as weddings.

 

On occasion, an order may be accommodated with 2 weeks notice, depending on availability.

What if I need to cancel my order?

Retainers are non-refundable; any additional amount paid may be non-refundable. Please notify the cake artist as soon as possible. It is up to the discretion of the cake artist whether the amount already paid will go towards a new future order within 6 months of original pickup date.

How much do you charge?

Prices will vary as all baked goods are custom and made to order. Please inquire for details. The best way to inquire to fill out the order form so the cake artist receives the necessary information to quote you.

Do you do wedding cakes?

I sure do! Wedding cakes are a different process and include a consultation. Please send me an email to get the process started. Cake tastings are available. 

 

Do you do catering or large orders?

Yes, send me an email and we can discuss further!

 

Do you deliver?

Delivery is available for Edmonton and surrounding area for a fee. Please place your order well in advance to guarantee delivery. Last minute delivery requests may not be accommodated.

Is there anything else I should know?

If you are unsure of the type of design you want, you can request a "freedom cake"! This gives the cake artist creative freedom on the design of the cake with minimal instruction. You are welcome to share with me the occasion, request a particular colour be included and/or the type of mood you want for the cake ("a fun celebration", "elegant", "bold", "decadent", etc.). If you like a surprise, a "freedom cake" is the best option and has been requested since the inception of The Nancy Bakes.
